HSK stands for Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi

[汉语 水平 考试] or Chinese Proficiency Test - Proficiency Exam Chinese Language . It was created 1984 by Beijing Language Institute [now Beijing Language and Culture University] for people whose native language is not Chinese, that is - foreigners of Chinese origin, whether living in China's national minorities.

exam has 11 degrees that are earned by joining the test, divided into three different levels of difficulty:

level for beginners

[基础 级]

provides students with grades 1-2

provides students with grades 3-8 consists of four parts - grammar, listening, reading, and part of the comprehensive three terms per year: April, June and November Cost: 250RMB

Cost: 400RMB
